Stroke – Vascular Topic

The vessels are more or less like a pipe system, with the help of which all regions of the body can be supplied. If they are damaged, supply bottlenecks can occur. At higher-grade vascular constriction sites, a significant flow acceleration results and there is a risk that the stored material is carried along with the blood flow and clogs brain vessels. In younger patients, vessel dissection (= tear in inner vessel wall) may be a cause of stroke.
